I have 2 separate (I think) questions.
1. Can you overfeed your baby solids? How much (in oz.) should a 9 month-old be eating per meal if he eats 3 meals a day? DS is on the larger side of the growth charts, if that makes any difference.
2. How do you know if LO is self weaning? DS has started refusing bottles, sippys, and regular cups. He still nurses but only a few times a day for about 5 minutes. In the bottles/sippys/cups we've tried fresh pumped milk, frozen milk, and also formula so I'm pretty sure it's not that he just doesn't like my milk now that I'm pregnant again. Every once in a while he will take water and juice, though. What do I do if he is self-weaning?
Re: Solids and self-weaning?
I don't BF, but DD has started refusing bottles, too. I'm trying to stick it out until her pedi appt next week and then I'll ask all of my questions. Though if I will be interested to see if you get a good response here.
1. When my boys are full they just start pushing it out with their mouth or don't open their mouth at all. They eat about 3.5-4 oz every meal. Well actually in the morning they have a small bottle so, they eat maybe 2 oz of fruit with oatmeal.
2. sorry...I have no idea.
