So I've noticed a lot of us around here have turned 30 lately (or even if it was a while ago you can still play)... what did you do for your 30th birthday?

Mine is next Sat and I'm trying to decide what I want to do

I'll be thirty next week! We aren't doing anything special. MH is a band director and I have the audacity to have a birthday in the middle of marching season. We are also trying to save up for a FET so we will probably do a nice dinner and call it a day.

I rarely do ANYTHING for my birthday other than go out for dinner and a few drinks. I turned 30 in the beginning of Sept. We went to chicago, visited family, and then went to a two day pearl jam festival (my all time favorite band ever). I can't tell you how elated I was. Its gotten me through some tough times (I know, sept isn't even over yet!) just remembering how happy I was then.

 

Whatever you do, I hope it makes you very very happy.

I turned 30 last year (almost exactly 1 year ago!).  DH organized a surprise party, although bless his heart he is not good at keeping secrets from me and it wasn't very hard to figure out.    On the actual day of, I took off of work, slept in and gave myself a massage.  It was great!!

Turning 30 was pretty awesome for me last year!  It was only 3 weeks before our wedding so we went to Vegas with a bunch of friends for a joint bachelor/ette party.  The first night we all celebrated my birthday and the next night we did our separate parties.  Just because you're turning 30 doesn't mean you can't have a good time.

I've always wanted to see The Lion King on Broadway not a side show. We planned for months, but took that trip and it was very much worth it!!

I turned 30 last year. DH threw me a surprise party the weekend before my actual birthday - we had a great time! And my family booked us a weekend away at a resort and spa for my actual birthday.

My birthday was last week...though I only turned 28.

H made me homemade chili and we had ice cream.

I turn 29 in October and I will celebrating with all the special ladies in my life by hosting an all things autumn party!  I love to host and I love autumn.  I will have a Willow House trunk show, food, drink, and lots of autumn decor.  If any of you live in Northern California, message me, I would be thrilled to invite some TTTC ladies!

Back when I turned 30 (almost 4 years ago) was when I was still living in Milwaukee and DH was living here in my hometown before we got engaged.  We got a hotel room and planned a night with 3 of my my best friends and their husbands that included a great restaurant for all you can eat crab legs 30 minutes up the river and then karaoke at my favorite spot.  Sadly, since my bday is Dec. 18th, as almost always happens - - we got a huge snow storm of 12 inches that night so we ended up just going to a near by Red Lobster for the crab (we were almost the only people in the restaurant so we were able to get loud & obnoxious LOL) and then still went to the bar for a few hours but left early enough so as to be able to drive in the snow.

Have a great birthday & remember 30's are the new 20s!

I'll be 30 in late October.  Honestly, I haven't even thought about what I will do to celebrate, because I'm too busy worrying about how much of a meltdown I'm going to have.  I guess I should start thinking about something fun and exciting to do instead of visualizing myself sleeping through it.

Its been a few years, so I don't remember exactly, but I think I gave my notice that I was quitting my job the day before my 30th.  That was awesome, because my boss was horrible, and I was going back to school to get my MBA (probably my best career move ever.)  Pretty sure I also had a joint birthday party with DH (his B-day is 2 weeks before mine).

I told DH (boyfriend at the time) that I didn't want to do anything and wanted to sit home and mope. I was convinced turning 30 was the worst thing that would EVER happen to me. Thank you IF for making that seem like nothing! He pretended to go along with it but planned a suprise party anyway. I was really touched and happy he did it.

This..I'll be 30 in May...on Mother's Day no less. I am Praying to be pg by then..I just don't know how I would get through that day bc I always thought I would at least have one baby by my 30th Bday..and on top of it to be another Mothers Day..ugh I can't even think about it!
