I see some info on implantation cramps and then a short time later a little bleeding about a week before AF is due. Is this common? Or more of a rare occurrence? I'd like some input on this.
Most "experts" believe that implantation cramps don't actually exist. Cramping will occur in the first trimester when the uterus is starting to expand, but most information that I have read says that actual implantation cramps are a myth.
Implantation spotting is more common. I did have it with my pregnancy. I spotted at 8, 9, and 10dpo, which is my usual luteal phase length, so I thought I had just a very light period. Imagine my surprise when I got a BFP at 15dpo!

I had them the day before I was going to start my period. I figured they were period cramps and AF never came. I didn't have any implantation spotting. From what I've heard implantation cramps are somewhat common.
I experienced implantation cramping with my first pregnancy. It started around the same time AF was expected and lasted about 2 weeks. I think the later part of that time frame was probably my uterus getting used to being pregnant and not the actual implantation.

I got them every time. But most people never feel them.

Re: Implantation cramps common or rare?
I've heard that it is pretty rare. Doesn't mean that I don't think I have implanation cramping every cycle, though!
Good luck!
It's very individual.
