Short but many naps

My DD has been taking 4-6 naps a day each about an hr long and then is awake for an hour to an hour and a half in between. I make her stay up between her last nap which is usually around 4 she'll wake up at 5ish and then I put her down for bed about 8. She will sleep through the night with only waking up once about 2 for a bottle then back down until about 7:30/8 am. is there any way I can smush those naps together so she gets longer naps and longer waking periods or should I just leave well enough alone?

Re: Short but many naps

  • DS was doing something similar, taking only 30 min naps. So I basically distracted him one morning for about an hour so he skipped that first nap. Then I moved up, his noon nap, by an hour. He ended up sleeping for 2 hours! So that's what I try to do now, but if he's up early or something then we still do the first nap.
