Gender Predictor

Has anyone used the gender predictor kits you can purchase?

Re: Gender Predictor

  • I haven't but I'd be lying if I said I haven't thought about it...I just can't get past the fact that they have a 50-50 shot either way, and if I can just hold out a couple more months, I can know for sure!
Blessed to be married to my best friend & so in love with our little man!!

  • I wouldn't ever pay the $30 that my local drug store charges for the Intelligender but the company sent me a test to take for my blog. I'll be taking it tomorrow because DH will be home and he thinks it's fun.

FWIW, I know four people in the last two months that took the test and then found out they were having the opposite of what the test showed (both boy and girl results).

  • I can do an elective u/s at 14 weeks for just $15 more than the cost of Intelligender. I think that is a much better option.

  • I just googled "baking soda sex test" and came across this poll from April 2011: https://community.babycenter.com/post/a26396415/baking_soda_gender_test

It had a 3:1 correct to incorrect ratio of moms who took the test who already knew the sex.

Off to pee on something again!

Update: no fizz, so girl?  That goes along with the Chinese chart (both the bump's and the one that goes by lunar age).  Oh, and we had sex 4-5 days before I ovulated, which is another girl OWT.  DH's family only makes boys, though.  On his paternal grandfather's side, only two girls (and dozens of boys) have been born in the last three generations.

I just tried this too (curiosity got the best if me) and it fizzed. Everything is pointing to a boy. I'm just not convinced yet since I already have two girls. I hope these tests though are true to what they say for me and aren't just "teasing" me.
