Boston Babies

OBGYN/ Midwife

Hi I'm Ashley,

DH and I moved from TX to MA about a year ago and I now have the dreaded task of finding a new doctor.  I am about 3-4 years from having babies, but I still want to find a good Dr.  We live in the Woburn area so I would love to find something near there.  TIA ladies.

Oh also PCP recs would be great too =)

Re: OBGYN/ Midwife

  • Hi,

Welcome to Mass and the Boston board! I just started seeing a brand new OB, Michelle Rotter. Her office is in North Andover for appointments and she delivers at Winchester Hospital. Not sure if that location would work for you. But she's really nice, great bed side manner. So far I'm very impressed. She is on the younger side but that doesn't bother me at all. Our personalities seem to gel and she has great feed back online. The office staff, nurses and lab workers all seemed really nice and I didn't feel like a number.

I have been seeing the same PCP I think for about 5 years and I like her a lot. Melissa Zorn. She's based Wilmington and affiliated with Winchester Hosptial. I find that she always takes any questions I have seriously especially when I am sick. She doesn't always treat with meds only when it's completely necessary. It can be hard to get appointments with her sometimes. She is very busy.

Best of luck on your search!

  • MGH West in Waltham has some great OBGYNs, Dr. Pocock is great! but if you prefer women doctors there are a couple really great ones there as well. I am not positive on their PCPs there though.
  • My DH and I use Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates.  We've been to both the one in Burlington and the one in Chelmsford.  So far we've liked all the doctor's we've seen there (have now settled on PCP and my OB/Gyn).  They're great because they have everything in one building; pcp, ob, labs, xray, pt, etc.  They have offices all over the place, once you're in with one office it's easy enough to switch if you need to.  Good luck!
