Paint help

Jules is going to be moving rooms (her old room can't fit her bed without touching the heaters). I looked at paint yesterday but didn't have a lot of time to look and I always have trouble really seeing how it will really look. I was thinking a pale blue/greyish would look good but all the blues seemed too bright, does that make sense? The other color I was thinking was a really pale yellow. I definitely don't want to do green, the other two bedrooms are both green. Our house is really traditional style and almost 200 years old so I think a really bright color would be a little out of its character. The other thing is there's technically 2 rooms, but they share a door so her toys, etc will go in the one and her bed in the other. But we'll paint both rooms the same. This got long, anyone have a suggestion or an idea of a color I'm missing? Is there still a baby room bio out there?

And the BEST thing I ever did was start getting those $2 paint samples to test out on our walls. I can tell you what I like and don't like when it's up on the wall...but picking out something is so hard for me for some reason!!!

I picked out 6 greys for our living room and painted them on different walls and it really showed me which were bluer and which were lighter/darker than I wanted based on the light in home.

Our dining room is next on the list! Ugh...I want to have it all done by Evan's b-day party in November.

    GL!!!!

  • We did a pale yellow for DD's room-Behr's Pale Daffodil. I like it and we're goign to use it in the new house as well for baby #2

For our bedroom, we're doing a pale blue/grey....we chose Olympic's Cosmic Rays. My friend has it painted in her house and I love it!
