Someone give it to me straight, is this going to be hard? She's been EBF up to this point and I feel like it's going to totally throw me not being able to just toss everything in the washer.
We're not going to do purees but are skipping straight to extremely soft finger foods. Although I'm guessing this doesn't make a difference either way ;-)

Re: Nervous about starting solids while using CDs
Can I hijack this post as well with some questions?? (Thanks OP - I was planning on writing a post about this today too!).. Im not planning on starting solids for another 2 months, but this has been on my mind lately...
1. Im planning on getting a diaper sprayer. Where do you put your soaked/sprayed diapers after sparying them, but before the wash? I am imagining that they would be too wet to go into my FB hanging pail....
2. If SLOWLY introducing solids, occasional soft finger foods at breakfast/dinner - will the poop change drastically right away? Will I need to start spraying at the first BM after solids? Or will it still have the same look/consistency of EBF poop, and then I can just throw it right away into the wash?
We started this week. So far we've only done oatmeal and pureed sweet potato, but the consistency hasn't changed much. So its not really scrapable, dunking doesn't do anything, spraying made a huge mess. I ordered liners, but dh is scared they will clog the toilet.
Us too - same foods even. No noticeable change just yet, and the poo still pretty much just rolls into the toilet. I think its not going to be until his diet is more diverse that we start getting really messy. I have an old spatula ready for when the time comes. We're trying to avoid a sprayer b/c DH & I have visions of our very inquisitive 3.5 YO hosing down the bathroom with it. Time will tell....
