Do three dots in a triangle mean boy or girl?

Doc said she did not want to guess until 20 weeks...but I got a clear shot of 3 dots in a triangle shape at 12 weeks 4 days at NT Scan.  Babies heart was 164 BPM...amd I leaning towards pink or blue?

I know that three parallel? lines means a girl. Not sure about 3 dots in a triangle...

Not to sound vulgar, but 2 dots and a triangle kind of sounds like 2 testicles and a pee pee....:) SMILE!

I think 12 weeks is too soon to tell because it technically looks the same for either one at that point.

^^ i agree with this person. but if i had to guess i would say boy. also the heartbeat def has nothing to do withit. supposedly 120-140 is boy and 141-and up is a girl

my little boys hb stays 150-160 and his first hb at ultrasound was 176

I don't know about it being too soon to tell but 3 dots in a triangle does mean boy.  We saw that on ours but that was at 18 weeks.

I've never heard of anything to do with 3 dots and a triangle. DS's u/s looked like he had a penis. This one had 3 lines...a girl. DS's heartrate was always over 160. This one was 136 at my u/s Tuesday. The OWT is as accurate as guessing.

Female and male genitalia look very similar at that point of pregnancy.  That's why Dr's are usually not willing to take a guess. 

Have you every heard of the "angle of the dangle" theory?  The fact that the dangle is important makes me think that you'd possibly see 3 dots in a triangle no matter what.  The vulva in a female is still kind of bunched up this early on and can be mistaken for a penis.
