Poll: How do you eat more?

Do you just eat more often?

Do you just eat more at each meal or snack?

Do you eat bigger meals and eat more frequently?

Or do you eat the same as before you were pregnant?

I seem to only eat more often, but based on the rude comments from coworkers these days I am guessing that most people expect pregnant women to stuff their faces all day, everyday...

  • i try and eat 6 small meals a day. I am on a GD diet.
  • I honestly don't think I eat that much more.  I do think I allow myself to eat things I wouldn't when I'm not pregnant. 
  • I eat more often, and sometimes a little larger portion, because I am always hungry.
  • I have a small snack twice a day, in between breakfast and lunch, then between lunch and dinner. Of course, if I didn't eat a snack, I don't know how I would make it between meals. =) I'd start thinking about dinner at 3!
  • I eat smaller meals than pre-pg, but I eat much more frequently. I kind of graze all day.
  • I don't eat more. I eat until I'm full, like I always did. I do have to eat a few small meals a day or I'll get sick. So far I'm gaining enough weight and the baby is healthy.
  • I eat breakfast lunch and dinner and have little snacks in between, normally whatever snack I give to DS or I'll make myself something else at that time.
  • Sometimes I'll have a larger portion, sometimes just bring a larger snack.  But I don't stuff my face all day every day.
  • I can't eat as much in 1 meal as I used to. I get super bloated. So, I eat my 3 meals and several snacks a day. I probably don't eat much more than I used to.
  • I don't eat more, I eat when I am hungry and that's it.  I am trying to maintain my weight (per my Dr.) and so far it is working pretty well and she is growing just fine.  Really you don't need a lot more food 2000-2500 calories a day is recommended.

  • I usually just eat a small amount more often, but it comes out to be not much more than I was eating before being pregnant. You don't need a whole lot more.?

    Tell your coworkers to mind their own?business, I'm sure they have good intentions, but you don't critique their eating?habits! ?

  • I'd say I eat more often - but not by much. I've always had to snack throughout the day, I get grumpy when I'm hungry - now I just really don't forget to snack and I've probably added one extra snack to the rotation.

  • i think i just eat more frequently.  not necessarily more in quantity.
  • Oh, and I would tell your c/w to suck it :) They're just jealous and were probably hoping you would balloon up and be a fat pg chick!!! Too bad for them ;)

  • I eat a really big breakfast and also eat small snacks between meals.
  • I sort of graze all day at work but a home I only have 1 snack and dinner. I have a limited about of sodium I am allow each day so I wish I could pig out
  • Thanks ladies Wink After reading this a coworker came by my office and said "Holly! Time to come eat lunch" to which I semi-rudely replied "I'll eat when I am hunry thank you very much". Ahhhh it felt so good.
