Boy name- Brooks?

I used to be unsure about the plurality of it-- ending in an "s." But it's growing on me, and my DH likes it.

We have a list of Everett, Lincoln, Landry or Noel, but I'm just not in love with any of them. Maybe I'll get there, I just keep looking for something I like more.

What do you think about Brooks?

It reminds me of a babbling body of water...I don't care for it. I really don't like the s, makes me think there is more than one "brook". I love Lincoln on the other hand

LOL- my grandfather (who I adore) was a bald Englishman who was ALWAYS dressed up. So this kind of brings up a positive image for me, LOL.

I like our other names too. My mom refers to the baby as Lincoln, so I think I've just gotten a bit tired of it, but Everett and Lincoln are the front runners.

And if it makes any difference, my son's name is Baron. I kind of think Baron and Brooks is sweet.

I have a coworker named Brooks (a 40-something yo dude) and a coworker with a new baby named Brooks. I like it and prefer to the other names you listed.

Brooks and Everett are both family names for me. Love both.

Brooks is our name too- using it for a girl or boy.  So I love it!

I love Brooks.  It is our frontrunner right now for a 3rd boy. The other name we are considering is Grant, but I don't like how relatively popular Grant is.  I know a lot of people think Brooks sounds somewhat pretentious, but that doesn't bother me.  I think it goes well with my other 2 boys' names as a preppy/lacrosse stick/ golf club wielding sort of name.
