Hi everyone,
My husband and I are TTC and this is my first post... I'm still pretty new at all the lingo and what I need to know I have another day or so before my period ends and we start trying but I had a question about prenatal vitamins. I can't swallow anything larger than a tylenol, so I am using the Vitafusion Prenatal chewables. They have enough Folic Acid, but I'm concerned about the DHA (only 31% of your daily value). Do you have an suggestions as to what else I could take (preferably chewable or very small sized pill) to make sure I'm getting everything I need? Thanks for your help ladies!
Re: Prenatal Vitamins
Target makes a DHA supplement that's a small soft gel capsule. I'm not sure what the percentage is but it should be pretty easy to swallow.
Good luck!
I take Nordic Naturals Prenatal DHA - https://www.nordicnaturals.com/en/Products/Product_Details/98/?ProdID=1434
It has 450mg DHA (50% RDA). Studies have had mixed results, but fish oil / DHA isn't something you can really overdose on, I'd rather err on the side of caution by taking it. And my OB/GYN recommends taking it.
(I buy it off Amazon, it's cheaper than the vitamin store or ordering directly from the company.)
