I have no idea what The Omen means, but I just don't really like the name.  Not the worst name on  Earth, but there are certainly better out there.

I never saw the omen, neither did he. But the name is too close to demon for comfort. He thinks it's a strong name. I win

My DH wanted Damian for a boy, but all I could think of was the Omen.  I searched and searched for a name that he would like better, not an easy task, he's extraordinarily picky.  Finally we settled on Cillian, which I like so much more.  

Overall Damian/Damien isn't the worst name in the world, it's just not a name that I could like with for my own child.  I wouldn't side-eye someone else for using it though.

I like Damian/Damien.  I don't have an Omen association with it.  A friend just named her little boy this and he's a cutie.  I also have a friend Damian from law school, so to me, there are only good associations.
