Thoughts on the name Piper

Hi all, this is my first time on this board, so apologies if this has been posted recently by someone else.

Would love your thoughts on the name Piper for a girl. Right now this is our top contender for a girl name, but our other 2 options we both like are Claire and Emma. 

For middle names I'd like to use Marion which is my grandma's name, or perhaps Marie which is my middle name.

    I love Piper! It's DD's middle name, and we strongly considered it for a first name.

    I prefer Piper by far over both Claire (NMS) and Emma (too popular).

    Piper Marion = adorable.

    It is definitely becoming popular, but judging by your other choices that's not an issue for you (nor should it be). I personally don't find it appealing but obviously others do and there is nothing wrong with it, love the MNs you are considering, I am big on family names!

    I would use Piper Marie.  It think it flows better.  I like the name Piper, it's just a little too popular right now for my taste.

    I agree with pp and like Piper Marie better. 

    Piper is growing on me.  Not sure if I would use it or not...still on the fence.

    Love the name Piper! And... my grandma's name was also Marion. Piper Marion- SO cute. I also like Harper and Harlow : )

    I really like the name Piper, but if I'm going to be honest, I have a little bit of a hard time picturing it on a powerful, grown woman.  Can you imagine a Supreme Court Justice named Piper?  I'm not sure.   It is really cute though.  :)  Good luck!

    Thats how I feel. Its adorable for a little girl, but not so mich on a grown woman. Too cutesy, IMO.

    It's not my cup of tea but its a perfectly fine name. It's just to "cutesy" for my taste. Piper Marion is a good combo though

    Piper Marion is a great name.

    It strikes me as quite trendy, and I'd be concerned that it'll wind up being very "2010," a la Tiffany, Heather, etc for our age group.
