We went but didn't see it in 3D. My kids don't leave on the glasses anyway and its more $ plus the non-3D time slot fit us best. DD had seen The Lion King at my mother's house on an old VHS but the boys hadn't seen it (not that DS2 watched) but mom wanted to take everyone to the movie when she was visiting. It was fun and a good movie anyway but not taking DS2 to a movie for a while!!!
Mine both did fine with the 3-D glasses this summer for CARS 2 and my youngest wears glasses (put them on over - I was concerned it would be an issue).
My youngest would dig it.
My oldest? Not so much. He gets really anxious with scary things in movies and the scene where Mufasa dies put(s) him over the edge.
He's not a fan of the hyenas either.
We'll be skipping it.
I thought about taking them to the theatre production and I think the oldest would dig all the costuming but doubt the younger one would sit still long enough so DH and I are getting a sitter and going alone this time.
I think I'm looking forward to taking them to the theatre production when they're old enough much more than the film.
Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
We went, but didn't do 3D. DS was kind of bummed, but oh well. I actually thought it would be a bit more retouched than it was. But, it was still nice to see it on the big screen. My kids loved it!
I plan to take DD to see it in 3D today or tomorrow. She did ok with the glasses at the smurfs. She loves the movie and so do I. I saw in the theater when it came out the first time.
We took DD over the weekend and with the exception of finding the hyenas a little frightening, she really enjoyed it. She thought the 3D aspect was cool; she kept saying "Mommy, how are they in here with us?" LOL
LOL.. Thats too cute!!! my 4 yr old son enjoyed the movie until Musafa died.. He looked at me and simply said 'Mommy I do like this movie anymore' I was sad for him

We're going!
My DD1 loves the book. I think we'll see the non-3D showing, though.
