I've been EBF my 9 month old with 4 nursing sessions per day (6am, 10, 2pm, 7pm). My question is, will this number of sessions continue until she's about a year...when we can switch to cow milk? Or will these sessions decrease as she takes in more table food? Will she be drinking more ounces between now and a year? She's currently drinking 5 oz. at a time (give or take). I'm just trying to prepare myself for the future

I'm a planner....
Re: How much at 9 months?
I don't know the answer to these questions but my DS is also 9 mo and so I'm piping in to answer the question in the subject heading.
DS nurses 6-7 times a day still. Right now we are working on eliminating the overnight nurse so it will be 6 times a day. I wish he would eat more at each session (my breasts do not feel like they are emptied the way I can empty them with a pump) so that we could have fewer of them.
