1st injection
I went this morning for b/w and u/s. Looks like my cycts are gone, guess the bc was good for something other than giving me the worst acne I have ever had! We did our first oil shot tonight and me bum is still sore! We iced it before and that helped but I have got to find something so that I am not so sore after. But I am 3 weeks away from transfer!!! I can't believe that we are this close already!
TTC #1 since March 09

Im so excited for you to be starting again! Yey for ET coming up!!!
The one piece of advice i would give you is to NOT use ice at all!!!!! I was instructed no ice what so ever. It messes with the way you absorb the progesterone. Heat is the way to go! I use a numbing cream and hour before and barely feel the injection. Immediately after i put the heating pad on for at least a half hour. Moving around afterwards helps too, but give yourself time before you start walking around.
Congrats on getting the shot done, we had quite the experience doing our first PIO lol
Make sure and switch sides every day and have your husband (or you if you give yourself the shot) rub it in after giving it. I couldn't figure a way to get the soreness to ever fully go away.
