What gifts have you received? :)

I saw the mothers this weekend in MI and they are super excited!! My mother bought the baby a butterfly/caterpillar toy.  She thinks it's a mobile, but it's actually one of those toys that goes on the carrier (I didn't argue with her) and a little frog towel/blanket that you lay over the baby during bath time to keep them warm.

My fabulous MIL got the baby a sac sleeper with little duckies on it that says 'grandma loves me' on the upper left side. My grandmother-in-law, whose a totally cute 89, wanted me to open her gift with her grandson (my DH) so I don't know what it is.

Anyone else getting gifts this early?

I know if my mom was still around, I'd have a ton of clothes and stuff already and probably a stroller and car seat lol. That's just how she was. The first time I was pregnant, she was already buying me loose fitting tops to wear at 4+ weeks.

I have not received anything so far though. Jealous!!! LOL. I wish someone would buy some of this stuff. I've been researching and geez it's gonna get expensive just to buy the necessities, let alone other stuff on top of that. I'm glad Christmas is coming up and I can ask for some stuff.

So far, a teddy bear and a St. Gerard metal, the patron saint of expectant mothers from my mom.  She was just in Vegas and said she got some gifts there, should be interesting to see what she got, haha!

Fi's cousin bought a froggy stuffy and froggy receiving blankets because she's been calling LO Kermit (u/s looked like a frog). So far that's it, my mom buys me really good fruits but I suppose that's more for me :P

Awww, that's too cute.  I think I have actually seen the little sleeper sack on it with duckies that says grandma loves me. 

 My mom has already started knitting a blanket for baby and she bought this winnie the pooh stuffed bear with the mommy's heartbeat in it.  She also dug out my old wooden rocking horse that was made for me when I was born and cleaned it all up and brought it over.  She is just so excited!

My SIL and fiancee got us a Michigan State university onsie, matching socks and a hat.  Soo cute!

@Irish625 That WILL be fun to see what your mom brings back from Vegas! :0) Maybe a onesie that reads 'What happens at grandma's, stays at grandma's!' LOL!

I FORGOT ABOUT BEING PREGNANT AROUND CHRISTMAS!!! I bet I won't get any presents at all, but that's fine by me. Baby needs lotsa stuff!!!

My sister wanted to be the first to get me a gift because I was the first for her as well.  She bought me the same rattler that my niece loved, a set of onesies and a set of burp cloths.

Second baby here, so nothin' yet. If it is a girl I expect an outpouring at Christmas. If another boy . .  . I don't even know what I would ask for.

Nothing yet.  Neither my family nor DH's is big into gift giving, and we've only told a few friends so far.

My mother has been crazy, as its the first grandchild on my side.  We've already been to target a few times, and went to a crazy consignment event in our area last weekend for more clothes and we found a cute bedding set... Pottery Barn Kids, for $15!  I'm such a mama's girl, and she can continue buying stuff as long as she wants!

We've hardly told anyone, but my sweet girlfriend sent me a Sleepy Wrap from Zulily this week.  As it's so early in my pregnancy, I was completely shocked to see a package from Zulily on my doorstep.  I loved it. 

She could have sent a brick with a 'Can't Believe You're Having a Baby' note stuck to it and I would have been just as blissed.  Something about getting a present made it more real.  Don't know why.

Tears/hugs/well-wishes, got those too.  Happy to accept.  TOTALLY forgot my little sister, who talked to my belly all weekend long, got the baby the 'Very Hungry Caterpillar' book.  That was my favorite when I was little.  So excited about reading that to our little one. 

All these gifts were totally unexpected which makes them so special.

p.s. Fellow Michigander, LOVE the rocking horse your mom dusted off.  Too cute!

DH's mom got us a little rattle thing that plays salsa music... My mom got us a couple books and an owl decoration. She also got this huge stuffed animal that she is keeping at her house. She has a room set up for my nephews, and is now adding stuff for our LO I have not bought anything myself yet.

Mom bought us the Winnie the Pooh wall hangings and has started crocheting something, I just don't know what.

MIL has bought the bed set and 2 Winnie the Poohs. I didn't think she'd be excited b/c she already has 4 grandkids. Boy, was I wrong!

I spoke too soon! My grandmother sent me a check to buy some new clothes. I'm so excited! She apologized profusely for not sending it earlier and then seemed completely shocked when I told her I'm not showing yet. We have a couple of formal weddings in late October and mid-November, and now I can justify buying a new dress I'll get very little use out of. My BFF told me yesterday that she'd bought baby a book about a little country bumpkin kid from Maine exploring NYC on his own, but then didn't send it after she read Amazon reviews lambasting the author for encouraging kids to run away and be unsafe. I reminded her that I am not that uptight and thought it sounded fun. Another close friend is a big crafter (of the ironic sort, my Christmas gift last year was a cross stitch sampler that read "B!tch, please!"), and she said she has a stash of projects she'll start on once I'm a little further along.

Since we havnt told any one really nothing here.  But before we got prego we bought a few things.  When in ireland on honeymoom we got a cute onies with lamb on it.  And about a year ago we were on vacation we say this cute baby blanket with a lamb on it so we bought it.  Wasnt until we got home we noticed we were going for a lamb theme.
