Baby Heart Monitor - Home Use

I have not been very successful in hearing anything but static with this monitor.  Does anyone else have one and if so can you pass on some suggestions on how you are able to hear the heart beat???  I think I'm doing it right...LOL...who knows...Thanks!!!

Which one do you have? The quality of the monitor makes a big difference. We bought one at BRU that never worked. We had a hard time even hearing our heartbeat on it. I bought the Sonoline B and it worked great.
