Bed time has always been easy for us, put her down and she'd put herself to sleep. This past week has been helll. She screams bloody murder, asks to be rocked but will wake up when trying to transfer to her bed. Sunday night she was up till 11, last night it was after 10. Is this just a phase? I'm at a loss as to what to do with her. Even naps are a fight. I know she's getting her 2 year molars, but I give her motrin before 30 minutes before her bedtime so that should be working by 8:30 when she is supposed to go down. Ugh. I'm just so frustrated right now...
Any tips or advise?
Re: She won't sleep
Prob a phase...and people handle it differently. You can rock and do all that jazz but that doesn't get anyone to sleep earlier. OR you can say goodnight (make sure they are feeling ok and full enough) and close the door. She will learn to soothe herself to sleep - or even just occupy herself until she wants to go to sleep. Our kids sometimes pass out within a minute and sometimes play in their beds for an hour. But the lights go out and the door closes at the same time each night regardless. They are awesome sleepers.

Totally agree with everything said here! Liam tried to pull this with us. If he felt he wasn't ready for bed he would throw a FIT! so I just started saying goodnight, and a he cried a little the first night and then that was it. He does the same thing, some times I dont' hear a peep from him after I close the door, and sometimes I hear him sing, talk, or just in there moving around for an hour before it finally gets quiet.
