Any tips to discourage teeth grinding?

B/C its driving me up the wall..

 LO has 4 teeth. 2 top, 2 bottom. The new trick is to grind them.. and I can't stand it.  I've tried telling him no, giving him his thumb, pretty much everything. 

I just can't stand the sound!  DH teeth grinds as well in his sleep and it would always wake me-- I'd hit him til he stopped. Obviously that doesn't work for LO, just for DH!

I just posted about this! (on botb) ugh...hate that sound. Mine doesn't take the paci, just chews it. Does your LO like a paci? From what I understand, it's just a phase. ::crosses fingers::

Omg we are going through this too! This is the WORST noise in the history of NOISE. DS has 4 top teeth and 3 bottom and grinds them all the time. I usually tell him no, or try to give him his paci. But yeah... I cannot stand it anymore!

yea.. we don't take a paci.. never did! although I thought of retrying it just to stop the grinding..

At least I'm not alone !

DS is also doing this and it makes me shudder. I give him things to chew and just wait for his teeth to grow longer so it won't be so easy to grind them.
