I was in early labor when I was hooked up to the monitors on 2/21. My last dr appt before I had him, the dr told me she thought I'd have him over the weekend instead of his scheduled date because of the contractions I was having. I laid on the couch all weekend and had him on the schedule date.
I haven't scheduled this one yet (first was unplanned) but my OB did give me the dates shes in the OR so I could choose 1/27, 2/1, or 2/3 (Due Date). I told her 2/1 and she said that was fine and well schedule it closer to time.
I had a c section because my baby was breech. We scheduled it for when I was 39 weeks. We decided on that day because my doctor would be oncall at the hospital. There are 7 doctors in the practice I go to. Turns out though that I was going into labor the morning of my c section so I would have had her that day or the next day anyway.
Wow, I am just waiting to schedule mine today. Seems like a lot of you guys got to schedule them earlier!
My OB told me he always has the schedulers shoot for 7 days prior to the due date, then if that doesn't work they go to 6 days, 5 days etc. Ideal is 7 days though. I am trying to get it scheduled for 39 weeks 4 days because that is a Friday and allows DH to take off the most consecutive days. We'll see if they will allow that or if they pressure me to go at 39 weeks. I should be getting a call today and I can't wait to schedule it and know when my LO will be born! (provided I don't go into labor earlier).
I keep worrying that I'll go into labor before. Mine is scheduled for 39w4d. It was either that or 39w exactly. If I do, it's really going to screw with my plans lol. I'm due 2 weeks before finals, and want to miss as few classes this semester as possible since one of my professors gives points every single class and you have to be present to earn them.

We scheduled the c/s for 39wks when I was about 30 wks or so. DD2 had other plans and was delivered at 33 wks 5 days b/c of spontaneous PLT (completely textbook pg until the day she was born)
This time around, I can only schedule two weeks in advance and the OB likes to deliver twins around 36/37 wks. I was also told that I could hold off til 38wks if the babies were still doing good.

With DS#2 I scheduled my c/s for the Wed. before my Sat. EDD as my practice will only schedule them up to a week before your EDD and won't go past it. I ended up going into labor on my own at 36 weeks 4 days.
Our c/s was scheduled (frank breech presentation) for August 8th (39 wks, 6 days) because my OB wanted us to go as close to my due date as possible. My water broke and I went into labor naturally on August 4th (39 weeks, 2 days). GL
I had an ultrasound confirming DD was breech at 38w 2d. They scheduled my c/s for 39w 2d because they didn't want me to go into labor with her in breech position.
DD#1 was breech and her C-section was scheduled for 8/6/08 by my OB in VA. My EDD was nine days later. She came when they cut her out. Now DD#2 is a scheduled C at 39 wks 1 day, Halloween. I really hope that she decides she would like to come a few days early so I can be home for Halloween for my 3 yr old. the problem this time is that I am in SC. New practice, Drs, and hospital. My Ob office scheduled my C-section and would not do it a single day before I am 39 weeks. Also since I don't want to have the baby the first week of November the only day is Halloween. The icing on the cake: I won't get to meet the Dr. doing my surgery until tomorrow. So the Doc that I have been seeing the entire time isn't on surgery that day. ARGH! So after you pay the OB offices so much money you realize that they really haven't done any service for you except deliver your baby and take your money. Good stuff! Anyway Can't wait to be done!
We scheduled our c/s after the 36 week u/s showed DD was still frank breech. We didn't attempt a version due to uterine fibroids. They wanted to schedule it for 39 weeks exactly, but that would have been a Saturday and they don't schedule them on the weekend. We couldn't have it on the following Monday (39 weeks, 2 days) b/c that was Fourth of July. Any later, was too close to my EDD & made my OB uncomfortable.
That left us with July 1, which was 38 weeks, 6 days. I was 0 cm dilated & 0% effaced, so DD would have taken her sweet time to appear w/o the c/s.
My practice schedules repeat c-sections at 39 weeks or in the week between 39 and 40 weeks. My EDD is also on a Sunday, so it won't be 39 weeks exactly. I prefer to schedule as close to my EDD as possible since I have a personal and family history of late babies, so I doubt I would go into labor early and I want this one to cook for as long as possible. I could probably schedule my c/s now, but I just moved and started going to this practice, so I want to meet all the doctors first and see if I have a preference as to who does my c/s.
DD born 10/10/07 * DS born 11/25/11 * #3 due 3/9/2015
With DS I was at the OB at 40 weeks. We had a heart to heart and u/s and she told me that she really thought c/s was the only way. We tthought about it the next day and called and told her it was on. She said she was in the OR the next day! So 40 weeeks 2 days.
I was already told this pg to pick a date. She'll do it any day, not just her one OR day. She wants it during the 39th week. She's beng very cautious though and said we'll have to just keep an eye on things since she doesn't want me to labor at all since the c/s are soo close.
At 24 week appointment I had my c-section scheduled for 10/26/11 (39w).
At my 27 week appointment I found out we had to reschedule the date because my OB's hubby was deployed and she couldn't do the c-section any time during that week. She consulted the hospital and it was then changed to 10/31/11 (39w5d).
I have had two previous c-sections and I have never gone into labor before my due date. In fact I've never even dilated or dropped for that matter.... I know it's possible that I could start labor on my own this time but I'm doubting that it happens.
I had PIH, LO was breech. I was 35 wks & 2 days when we decided to go with the c-section for delivery.
C-section was scheduled for 39 wks, 1 day. 3 days after I scheduled my c-section with my dr, my water broke at 35 wks, 5 days. LO was delivered via c-section (she was still breech).
