Obligations for the H during the seperation

Does anyone know what the husbands obligations are while we are seperated (divorce process)? XH is giving me some money each month but I'm just wondering if since he isn't giving me what he will probably have to pay in CP, will he have to back pay me for that?

It will depend on your local laws and the rulings of your judge. Honestly, it is in the best interest of both parties to get a temporary court order now. That way you know exactly how much you should be getting, and your ex will make sure the amount he has paid counts towards any back ordered support that is issued.

Like pp said, it really depends on the laws in your area.

Where I live, there is a Conciliation Hearing within a few weeks of divorce being filed. This is to establish temporary orders for CS and custody/parenting time. Until then, the H has no "official" obligation whatsoever.
For me, XH was paying for half of daycare from the time we separated until our Conciliation Hearing (about 6 months...I didn't file for divorce until 4 months after we split). Ironically, as soon as he got a court order to pay child support, he stopped paying for half of daycare. Or anything else....

When we got separated, I immediately filed for spousal support a.k.a. alimony and I've been getting that every month now.

 My divorce is far from being finalized but I was told not to wait until the divorce to ask for it because you want to show the court that you are in need of that money and cannot wait for the divorce otherwise, if you ask for it later, the court may not give you as much thinking you don't really need it.
