My LO always seems to give me a little present on his month birthdays by hitting a new sleep milestone. Today he is four months old (how did that HAPPEN ALREADY???) and last night he slept ALL THE WAY THROUGH!! He went down at 7:45pm and its 6:40am here and he's still going! It's crazy!
It probably won't stay this way, but I wonder if the sleep training made a difference. We started on friday, and took away the swaddle at the same time. I was feeding him when he got up at 3am, but last night he just didn't wake.
Curious to see if this sticks or not.
YAY!
Re: AW!! Four months and STTN!
I just responded to your PM, but sounds like you don't need my advice! WTG, Brady!
Are you formula feeding or breast? Our LO still wakes up once or twice a night. I don't know if she really is hungry, but as soon as she eats she is back out again, so it's not like she is up for hours, just like 15 minutes. We tried to stop the swadlle recently too, but she has been scratching her face if her arms are out, so I've been tying them back down again lol. What did your sleep training involve this weekend?
So hoping it stays this way!!
Pm'd you back! I still want a plan should he wake! We'll do the reducing oz until we're at one, then take it away all together.
The next pm will be about the 30 minute naps....
We formula feed. I tried to stop the swaddle during naps last week and it did NOT go well. Combined with the sleep training, it seemed to make no difference.
We're using mostly ferber - letting LO cry for timed intervals that slowly increase. The first night was 3, 5, 10 and they increase each day. I also have taken a couple things from some plans for friends by sleep therapists.
