Coughing when cooing

Sorry, weird title, but I wasn't sure how to word it. The past few days whenever my daughter makes loud "oooing" noises she makes herself cough. I can't tell if she's caught something, or is just making herself cough trying to say a new syllable. She does not have a fever, no weird rashes, etc. and the pediatrician said she was healthy. Anyone else LO doing or did this?

Mine has been fake coughing for days.  She does it while she is cooing too, she smiles then fake coughs.  I think she is just experimenting with sounds.

ds coughs all the time - I haven't noticed it having to do with making sounds.

It's not congestion and not fits, sometimes it sounds like he's bringing up a piece of drool.  I'm not describing this well, but it's obvious he's just dealing with the drool backwashing down his throat.

By all the time I mean throughout the day, not constantly.

If it continues for  weeks you should see your Pedi, DD was doing this i thought she was faking, or because of drool. It went on for a month the doctor keeps saying shes fine, I sought another opinion and she now has a apointment to see a specialist. Not trying to worry you, Just saying watch it Smile

Okay, good to know she's not the only one. I'll keep an eye on her, but so far she doesn't cough unless she's "talking." :-)

DD is her daddy's daughter. She will often kind of choke a little on her own spit. Just like her daddy.
