It's amazing to me that some of you women think you are the only people in the world that read these posts. There are women out there that are trying to get pregnant and maybe there problems aren't as bad as some of yours but they are having trouble trying to get pregnant.
When I first came on The Bump and read the Trying to get Pregnant posts there was no concrete information that helped me. I didn't want to get involved because the conversations seemed to be private conversations between friends and not one of a learning community. I had to do the research.Yes maybe some of what I advised was getting pregnant 101 but if it?s common knowledge why are there people out there that still don?t know it their first time around. If I found your posts to be helpful maybe I would?ve gotten pregnant sooner. My goal was just to help anyone who needed it. This is a PUBLIC community post meaning that you don?t own it and it?s not your own personal Facebook page or Twitter feed. That fact that I can?t post something on a community site without people telling me I should have ?lurked? proves my point that you think you own this, again, PUBLIC community post.
I think it?s very ignorant to believe that you?re the only people out there that have problems and to think you?re better than everyone because your problems are more extensive. I?m sorry that it is taking so much to get pregnant for some of you women but maybe you should be giving advice to others rather than jumping on someone who is just trying to help. As I was having trouble trying to get pregnant it would?ve been helpful if someone had just posted things that worked for them and then I could?ve tried it and if there was something I hadn?t heard of before I could?ve researched it.
There was absolutely no intention of bragging. I was excited that I am finally pregnant and I wanted to share what I did so maybe it could help other people get pregnant too. Yeah it may not work for everyone but again, it?s worth it if it helps at least one person. Maybe you?ve already tried this stuff and have been doing it for a long time but then speak up and try to help someone else. Maybe it doesn?t work for you but it may for other people. I understand that helping others can come in the way of support but support doesn?t get someone pregnant, it just helps them not feel so bad.
I can?t believe that women who are trying to bring life into this world would make it so ugly.
You can have all the ?snarky? comments you want, but at the end of the day, maybe I helped someone, what can you say about yourself?
Good luck to all of you in getting pregnant!
Re: Re: Advice - What worked when TTC
And I can't believe someone who "had trouble" would really think that by taking a vitamin and peeing on OPKs would magically solve all the problems in the world.
Guess we were both wrong. Move along now.
If you would have just said "this is what we did" instead of "here is some advice" the post would have went over much better. What you did made you sound high and mighty like you found the secret to TTC. But you didn't because it wasn't your vitamins or healthy eating that got you pregnant, it was just your luck that sperm met egg at the right time. So don't act like you found the way and its your job to inform the masses.
this new post is just utterly ridiculous. You don't know what we've tried or anything about us so you should get to know us before sticking your nose in giving us advice we didn't ask for.
good luck to you.

I hate to get involved with drama so I'll just say a few things:
OP: Though you weren't received well (and I understand why), I do wish you luck with your pregnancy. There are lots of other public forums if you don't like this one.
Also: I have found the TTC advice helpful here. I knew nothing about charting and temping before I got here. I knew nothing about Pre-Seed, green tea, or ovulation before lurking. Resources have been suggested such as FF, TCOYF, and even The Great Sperm Race. I'd suggest these things to newbies, as well. Even if you don't want to join in on the discussion, those are basics to get your started in your "research."
Your "advice"may have been OK but your presentation sucked. Plain and simple. Own it. Move on. You presented your advice as the end all be all DO THIS and you'll get KU and that just isn't the truth.
If you didn't find anything helpful, don't you think it is funny that your advice is the same advice passed along here all. the. time?
so you offend us because you come across as insensitive and we're supposed to be nice to you and not tell you why you were an ass? yeah, right. If only the world was always puppy dogs and rainbows...
bu bye now. enjoy the 1st trimester board.

OP, have you not gotten enough attention yet this weekend through your multiple posts of the same message on multiple boards?
You claim you only wanted to share your advice to help, if that is true then take the feedback people have given you that you are doing the opposite of that and move along to first tri.

BFP: 6/22/2016 EDD 3//6/2017
My only problem with what you posted was that you posted it on the T-TTC board. That is just BEYOND insulting in my opinion. Your advice won't do shiit for someone who has a medical diagnosis as to why they are not getting pregnant.
In all honesty your post on THIS board didn't really bother me. I skimmed it, closed it, and moved on. The fact that you had to go and post it on the other board is what got my panties in a twist. That was just plain ignorant on your part. Don't tell a woman who has unexplained infertility that she can get pregnant by popping some vitamins and pissing on OPK's...you'll just look like an ignorant biitch.
GL and H&H 9 months to you.
Exactly.
OP, everything you suggested in your original post, I learned after about 30 minutes of lurking on these boards & FF. Thanks though, I'm sure you meant well. I can't imagine you meant well when you posted it on the TTTC board though. H&H 9 months to you.
Yes. Yes. Aaannnddd, Yes. I couldn't have said it better.
OP - Do you truly believe that taking a pre-natal vitamin got you pregnant? Or that trying to get pregnant for 6 months is 'trouble trying to conceive'? You clearly have no idea what you're talking about, and therefore, any advice you give has no credibility.
I might have said nothing if you had just posted here, but on TTTC? Are you an idiot?
Take your attention wh*ring drama a** elsewhere, please and thank-you.

LOL
I'm not trying to be snarky, but I know it will probably come across that way. Having said that, here it goes...
...you don't know this board. You don't know the "tone", per se, of this board, and the women who participate here. If you really lurked like you said you did, you would understand why your post offended many of the women here.
Congratulations on your pregnancy, that is incredibly awesome for you, but there are women here who will not become pregnant based on your advice, because basically all of the "advice" you gave has been posted here NUMEROUS times and can actually be found on the Newbie link.
Perhaps if you would have said, "Here is what we did this cycle..." it would have been better received. The way you worded your post came off as, "I just got KU and if you copy everything I did you will KU too!"
It's just not that simple, and for the ladies that have been trying for a very long time, it's a slap in the face.
Perhaps you should move on to the First Tri board now, where you can talk to others who ARE pregnant, since we aren't.
Chemical Pregnancy
RUDE AS USUAL!!!!!!
I learn from the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Really you needed to come back and defend yourself?
None of the advice you gave was new to anyone who has lurked on the board and read the newbie link. So to come onto the board without properly introducing yourself and then advise people on how to get pregnant with what is general knowlege on this board is a little insulting to people who have been on the board for a while. I think that if you had adjusted the tone to your post it would been received a little more nicely.
Also to post the exact same post on T-TTC was in very poor taste. If you had lurked a little you would know that that board is for women who have been diagnosed with fertility problems. No amount of vitamins and OPKs would help some of these women, they will need medical assistance to get pregnant. You waltzing in and telling them to try OPKs and vitamins because they totes got you pregnant is a slap in the face to these women.
And by the way it is a public message board, so while nobody can stop you from posting what you want, you can't stop others from replying as they feel fit.
Good luck with your pregnancy. I hope you have a H&H 9 months.
