I am by no means a regular around here so I hope this isn't an inappropriate or offensive post. I wanted to share my BFP since I always enjoyed these post the most over the past few months.
On Saturday at 10 DPO I woke up to take my temperature at 6:30am and PIAC and went back to bed. When I woke up 3 hours later I opened up a FRER and dipped and waited. I was actually dreading testing, because I knew it was early and because I didn't have any symptoms. The only reason I decided to test is because I had a wedding to go to that night, and the group of friends there are drinkers. So I wanted to know if I could join them in good conscience. (Drink till it's pink!) When I saw a line, not even a squinter line, I was totally surprised. I tested again with a Wondfo and it was a little fainter, but still there. Then I broke out a Clear Blue Digital, and got a BFN. I was like, "what?" Then I found out online that the Clear Blue Digital is less sensitive than the other tests, so I dumped out my cup of FMU and used third morning urine. I thought, "Hey, 3 hours later, maybe I have more hcg now?" Sure enough, after 3 minutes, up popped "Pregnant!"
It's still really early for me, my period wasn't even due until September 23rd, so that's another reason why I was so surprised to get such an early positive.
As stated earlier, I haven't really had any symptoms. However, things have been different - different type of cramping, different type of cervical fluid, etc. My breasts have gotten fuller, but they're not tender at all.
What I did differently this cycle - after my first cycle, I was really moved to try to make the most of my fertility. I was worried I may only have 3 or 4 chances in our first year of trying to get pregnant, so I wanted to make the most of those. I read the Making Babies book and loosely followed the diet plans for tired and stuck types. I went to weekly acupuncture appointments and drank disgusting Chinese herbal medicinal tea. I was really happy to O on CD 26. (Much better than CD 87!). I drank green tea up until O and took bromelain pills for 5 days after O. We BD O-3, O-2, O, O+1.
I also want to reassure anyone whose husband takes propecia not to worry. I was worried after googling it, and I know there may be other women out there still worrying. Although it took 4.5 months, this was only our second cycle of trying, so DH didn't have any fertility issues.
This board helped me a ton these past few months and I want to thank everyone for all the knowledge I've gained. I'm wishing everything the best of luck and hope you all get your BFPs soon!
