Babies: 3 - 6 Months

diapers

My son is almost 6 months and size 3 Pampers seem to be getting small.  Anyone else's child wearing Size 4 yet?  It just seems too big for this age!

Re: diapers

  • Yesterday we ran out of diapers at daycare and they borrowed one from the daycare stash - it was a size 4.  I didn't notice it until DD got home and I took off the diaper.  I noticed it was another brand, but then I saw the size on it.  It fit perfectly.  I guess I'm buying 4s next time.  I can't believe she is so big already!

  • My daughter is a little younger than your son and while size 3's are still fitting her I can tell that we'll be moving up to size 4's probably right before she turns 6 months.  I agree it seems way to soon to be moving up to that size!  I've got a little chunker though so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.  I just hope she slims out a bit as she get's older or she potty trains at like 1 1/2 or there won't be diapers that fit her!

  • My cousin has a ten month old and a toddler (she must be over two years by now) in size fours.  She said they both moved up really quickly but then all the changes that came with activity level and thighs getting smaller once the first one walked changed the way the diaper fit.  The toddler is a bit tall and weighs normal, so I think the shape of the baby will change to the point that you end up staying in one size range for a lot longer than you might think.
