A recently gave up drinking from his bottle, but now that he drinks from sippy or straw cups exclusively, his milk consumption has gone down a lot.
I offer him the same amount of milk at expected times, but now that he can't sit back and guzzle it, he's not as interested. He has a good appetite and drinks a lot during the day (still prefers water sometimes), but I was just curious if this was normal or if I should try any tricks to encourage him to drink more. He was drinking around 25 oz a day before, but probably around 15 oz now.
Re: Enough milk?
sounds fine to me! Miss A has never been a big cow's milk drinker.... from 13 months til about 20 months she'd drink about 5-8 oz/day (she was still nursing 5-6x/day) and for the last 2 months she's finally ramped up on her drinking and now drinks an average of 12oz/day! LOL some days she'll drink 20 and some days 9oz but on average I think she drinks about 12oz
I think as long as he's growing along his own growth curve you shouldn't have to worry about it

I read this, too. But does other dairy also do that? Because Kaya eats tons of yogurt, cottage cheese, cheese, etc. We try to feed her that stuff for the protein & fat rather than filling her up on less nutritious snacks.
DH said other dairy doesn't do that... just the cow's milk in liquid form
