Ugggg...I am beyond frustrated!!

So I started my weekly internals 2 weeks ago and I was 1 cm dialated and 60% effaced. Last week I was 2 cm dialated and 90% effaced. Today I go in hoping for more progress and praying that they will just send me over to the hospital (I am so uncomfortable)...but they said that I am now 3 cm dialated and still 90% effaced. Will this baby ever come out?? I am scheduled for next week and feel that I will just shoot myself if I am 4 cm dialated. I have friends who went into labor not dialated at all but then there's me who is 3 cm 90% effaced and still no labor. What the heck?

I am right there with ya!  Basically the same thing....  but I get to look forward to induction tomorrow!  Also, if you have been contracting at all, I have been drinking Red Raspberry Leaf tea and I have been having stronger contractions which stimulates dilation.  Just an idea.

I hear you!  I was 3cm and 75% last week and 3-4 and like 80% last night.  So frustrating!  I pretty much begged my way onto the induction schedule for next week.

At least with that much progress your labor is likely to be shorter.

I was looking forward to an internal today to see if I made any progress from last week and they won't do another one until 39 weeks.  Such suspense!

I've been dilated to 3cm for 3 weeks now, and 90% effaced for over a week. No labor yet.

Internals really don't mean much. I know some doctors have just stopped doing them. Plan to go to your due date and like a pp said, be grateful that that's 3 cm you don't have to deal with once you go into labor.

Well you can look at it this way. You are making progress. I will be 39 wks on Friday and I am still only a fingertip dilated and 50% soften.

at least you have something happening! i'm due in two days and have had no progress whatsoever in the last three weeks! i'd just take it all with a grain of salt!
