Okay, I have a question about pre-*** and no this is not a question about pulling and praying...:)
My husband and I have just had to accept that planning to have sex every other day in our attempt to get pregnant often comes with it's fair share of snafus, laughs and hilarious unplanned things...so we just roll with it. We decided we need to make a quote book of all the funny things we say while trying to be intimate and romantic...Every so often all that lovey dovey stuff just goes out the window and we are just getting down to business. I know, not ideal but sometimes we just have to go with it...Anyway, last night I am pretty sure I ovulated as my temperature peaked and my OPK was positive. In the middle of the act, my husband got a random, out of nowhere, terrible timing Charlie-horse in his leg. He started making a funny face and then finally told me what was wrong and we just started laughing, kept trying to keep going but just lost it and had to stop. He never finished.
Soooo...I just wonder what is the true science behind pre-***/pre-ejaculate? Does it really exist, is there strong sperm in pre-***? I have read different things like, it it actually released from the Cowper's gland and contains little to no sperm versus the pre-ejaculation that may come when you 'pull and pray' (so, a little of the actual semen/ejaculation is left behind) and contain the more potent sperm...and then I've heard it's all the same and all it takes is one sperm, of course. Any thoughts or knowledge on this? There isn't really much research on how many people get pregnant this way since it is so often laughed and joked about I think but last night made me just kind of wonder!
Re: just a thought
I've read that there isn't even always sperm in the pre-ejaculate. It depends on how long ago he ejaculated last and whether or not he urinated between. If he ejaculated say 2 hours ago (this is just out of my a**, I have no idea what the time window is) and did not urinate and then you started making out and he got aroused, the pre-ejaculate could have sperm in it based on what was left over in the urethra (and I can't imagine that being very strong, viable sperm after hanging out there for a while).
But if it's been a while since he ejaculated and/or if he's urinated since then there won't be (or won't likely be) any sperm in his pre-ejaculate.

I have no idea about the answer to your question, but I am also under the impression that not all men have pre-ejaculate, and sometimes it is hard to tell either way, because it could just be confused with "natural lubrication."
ETA: Sorry about the charlie horse! That sucks!
