Anyone used Kidco Peapod instead of PnP?

My family just got a pop-up camper, so there is camping in our future! We have camped with the pack n play before, but it takes up a lot of room. I've seen this https://www.kidco.com/main.taf?p=4,5 and wondered about getting the PeaPod Plus for my DD (14 months old). I'm just worried she won't like it and won't be able to settle herself and sleep in it. Anyone have any experiences? I AM thinking it would be great for our next LO down the road, but I'm worried she won't like it since she hasn't grown up with it.

Thanks!

  • We used the Peapod for the first year or so and loved it. It was perfect for flying. Liam moves a lot in his sleep and would wake himself up when he brushed against the nylon sides. I'm not sure if the Peapod plus is bigger. We brought our PnP tent camping. I've seen portable cots. We're looking into those for when we go to ILs for the thanksgiving. Not sure if that helps.

  • We got a peapod for camping and trips for DS when he was 14 or so months old.  We had him sleep in it for about a week to get used to it.  My neighbor recommended it, they have a popup and have used the peapods for both her sons (one is 3.5 the other son is 2.5).  It has been freaking awesome for us!  Love it, so much better than trying to get DS to sleep with us in the tent, or in a borrowed crib, etc.  To keep it dark and cozy we cover it with a blanket (still has plenty of ventilation and helps keep it warmer).  Whenever we have a trip coming up I have him sleep in it for a couple of times before we leave.  He loves his tent :-)

  • We use one Peapod and one P&P. We usually put the deeper sleeper in the tent, and the one who needs paci replacements in the P&P, but I really want to move to two tents now that they're getting older. It literally takes two minutes to fully put up, and even less time to take down. And virtually no room in the car! Love it.

  • We went on a big road trip this summer (away from home for about 3 weeks) and DD slept in the peapod each night. We also use it if she needs to nap while we're at the grandparents' houses. She seems very comfortable and has never had any issues sleeping in it. The only thing I will say, though, is that it has a zipper closure, so there were a couple times when the sound of the zipper would wake DD up when she was little.

  • We never used it but it looks really neat!

  • We have one and started using it when he was 3 months old. Love it! I wish we had bought the plus which is bigger. I feel like he is cramped in it now.
