Trying to Get Pregnant

Question-Feel Free to Flame...

So, I have been reading conflicting information, and I don't know which to believe.  What constitutes as CD1?  The day I start to spot (I usually have 2-3 days of very little spotting) or the day its full on flow?

I am new at this, so be gentle!

  • CD1 is the first day of full on flow.

Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • Agree with pp, CD1 starts the day you can wear a tampon.

  • Thanks.  I did read the newbie link, but I have also read information from other sources, which is where my confusion is coming from!

  • Both Fertility Friend and TCOYF (including the TCOYF software) will mark the first day of actual flow (requiring pad/tampon) as CD1. If you just spot, it will automatically count that as part of the previous cycle. So, regardless of what the other sources say, that is how two of the most popular charting programs actually compute it.
