flexible double stroller?

I see lots of posts about double strollers... our babies will be 18 months apart. I originally wanted a double jogger (bumbleride indie), but have noticed my LO only wants to escape the stroller during our rides now... wondering if I should chance that he will hate it and get a side-by-side double stroller, or if I should get something with a jump seat/flexibility? (something like the uppa baby vista with the rumbleseat or the city select).

For those of you with double strollers (and possibly an escape artist child like mine), what did you do?

Re: flexible double stroller?

  • I have an Uppa Baby Vista, although I don't plan on buying the rumble seat.  I don't want LO1 sitting behind the newborn.  I think it would be a boring ride for an almost 2 y/o.  I plan on buy a BOB double stroller with the infant carseat attachment.

I'm pretty sure even at ~21 months (when LO2 arrives) that LO1 will still want and need to ride in a stroller.  Maybe not all the time, but I would like to have that option.  I do have an Ergo to wear LO2, but I don't want to always have to wear the newborn while pushing LO1..

  • I love my uppababy vista (as a single) and plan to buy the rumble seat but I definitely would not get this with the intention of using it as a double, for the price there are better double options, if you like that configuration (and were going to spend the big money) I'd go for the BJ City Select (I always get their models confused, but the one that is not side by side). I might selected this initially if I was really thinking ahead (not just selecting based on what was best for one vs. two kids)
