UTI--need some advice

Hi girls,

This is my first post on the bump.  I am 8 weeks pregnant and I just had my first prenatal visit last week.  Well, yesterday the doctor called me and told me that it turns out that I have a urinary tract infection and they put me on an antibiotic nitrofurantoin.  The doctor reassured me that it is ok to take, but I am still nervous!  Have any of you ladies had UTI's while pregnant and been on antibiotics?  

Any help or reassurance would be much appreciated!  Thank you! )

i've had two.  its totally fine, esp since you're so early on.

I have not but cranberry juice should help. I would also ask your pharmacist - I asked him about every medication I took while pg. Also, this website has been my favorite both during pg and while BF
