Innnnteresting. Isn't arsenic made out of apple seeds? In that case, small trace amounts kind of make sense, though I have no idea what levels of arsenic would be safe or unsafe. Seems like previous generations drank waaay more juice than we do now (my grandmothers always had juice in the fridge).
ETA - whoops! I just asked Professor Google and evidently it's cyanide in apple seeds, not arsenic. Carry on!
If it's in the juice, then wouldn't it be in the apples themselves? I mean, where else did it come from? I'm not going to stop eating apples. Maybe Dr. Oz should test a few crates of whole apples and then have a show about that. More Honeycrisps for me!
My big issue with apple juice is country of origin. Almost every brand imports apple juice from China and well, I just won't eat food grown in China. I think they have a scary system of agriculture. We usually only buy apple cider since it's made here.
