Sorry this got long....RD version is that Summer Infant CS rocks as usual and Ebay bidders are not smart shopper! lol
I have the camera from my oldest Summer Infant video monitor on Ebay. The charger broke and I sent the handheld piece to one of our girls here, it had spotty volume but the video was fine. I had replaced it with the best view last year. The camera is in perfect working order so I decided to see what I could get for it on Ebay......auction ends in 3 hours and it is up to $61! lol A new one is only $100 on BRU website. I have 71 views and 20 watchers, and 11 bids which I started out at $10. People started bidding on day 1, I typically watch an item until it ends before bidding.
I had also ordered a refurb camera from Summer to go with my Best View, but didn't like it....too many steps to switch between cameras and the new camera didn't work right for a refurb. Summer then offered me a whole new unit! My Best view was still under 1 yr warranty, so they are sending me a brand new model Best View and new additional camera for it! No charge, just have to send old one back! Newest model switches between cameras every 8 sec or so automatically. Not needed during the day with daycare kids, but will rock at night if we have another!
Now I have to decide what to do.....keep brand new one or sell it and buy the Baby Touch model. Love the new Baby Touch Summer came out with, I think the talk back feature would be great with a toddler!
Re: Ebay bidders are crazy and great CS again! (long)
Auction just now ended....winner bidder bid $75! lol They pay shipping too! Ebay doesn't take much (less than $5 I am guessing for this one), and my listing was free. I have much better luck selling on ebay that I do CL! I have sold and bought plenty and have never had any issues.
