Trying to Get Pregnant

LPs and HPTs

Please don't crucify me. Lol. This short cycle business is really new to me. It's only been going on since March or April. Anyway, do shorter LPs affect hpt timing and/or accuracy? Tomorrow is 10DPO, and CD24. my cycles have been 26-28 days since the spring, but are seeming to level off at 26. This is all crazy to me because before pregnancy, my cycles were 28 days almost to the hour!

Re: LPs and HPTs

  • AFAIK, even with a shorter LP, implantation still would occur at a "normal" time and so you wouldn't test positive faster.

Is this your first cycle charting?

  • So actually, AF could be even later than a longer cycle before getting a +? If that's right, that makes total sense! Yes, it is the first cycle charting. We weren't really planning to actually start TTC just yet, but DH decided to take a chance.
