38 weeks and menstrual cramps?

The last few days I have had on and off all day/night menstrual like cramps. Serioulsy feeling like my period is coming. Is this normal around this time of preganncy? I havent had an BH so I don't even know what that feels like...

i don't know from experience... but I would say its normal!!

They could be contractions if they're timeable.  But I know that cramps in late pregnancy are pretty normal...I get them from time to time.  If you can time them though, it can be labor, so keep track of them!  GL!

I've been having them for 2 dats now- off and on... But not putting me in labor booo

well, I've heard contractions described as feeling like mestrual cramps, so maybe you're having some mild contractions.

I've been having them today (had one while typing this).  Mine come and go and sometimes wrap around to my back.  They also tighten my lower belly, so I'm thinking they might be mild contractions.  Nothing regular, though.

I asked my midwife about that - she said they're perfectly normal, just like BH contractions it's your body getting ready for labor.

My doc said that can mean you are starting to efface.

Yes its normal and a form of BH - I had them pretty bad for days.

same thing has been happening to me (yesterday and some today).  the pain is very very minor and the cramps are pretty constant - not timeable at all.  I havent had BH either.....at least we're not alone in our confusion
