I work at an after school program with kids, and today I took them into the computer lab. The air conditioner was off and the computers were on, so it was really hot. I ended up feeling like I was going to pass out, and my heart starting beating really fast. I've never experienced anything like that before.
Is this normal or should I talk to my doctor about it?
Re: Is this normal?
Thanks. I wasn't sure if it was a symptom of pregnancy or something.
I can turn the air down when I'm in there, it just takes a little while for it to kick in. Next time I'll definitely bring water though. That's a good suggestion:)
were you on guard?? I love to meet another guard girl.
This happened to me one time during my last pregnancy while I was driving and scared the crap out of me! I ended up pulling over, drinking a lot of water, and just waiting until I felt normal again. I told my Dr. about it and she said that is a normal thing during pregnancy, a lot of women say it happens in the shower and they see stars. She explained what caused it, but I forget now.
This has actually happened to me before I got pregnant too. Sometimes heat, stress, dehydration, pain, etc can do that to you. Like some other ladies said; trying to cool down, drinking a lot of liquids, and sitting down helps a lot!
(And yay!!! More flag girls!!! I don't think I've met any others since high school! lol)
I was!
