I got mine off amazon for $50, free shipping. It's a Sonoline B. I love it! I don't really use it anymore, I've only used it once since I've started feeling her move. But between 12 and 18 weeks, I used it all the time! Not because I was scared she wasn't okay or anything like that..just because I loved hearing her heartbeat.
I have an AngelSounds I got used from a lady on LiveJournal for $20. I'm happy with it; never had any trouble finding the LO's HB, and it has two headphone ports, so DH and I can listen at the same time.

I have the sonoline B and I got it for $55 I believe. It was from an online medical supply site. I love it but I don't use it anymore now that I can feel LO.

I was going to get one at the beginning of my 2nd tri, but my hubby and I couldn't agree on which brand to get (he wanted to spend a lot of money, I wanted to be reasonable!), so we still haven't bought one lol!
I did download the mybabysbeat app on my iphone, and just this week (25 wks, almost 26) I was able to find my baby's heartbeat with it . The app says it works best around the 3rd trimester...but it depends on the baby and positioning.
Yesterday I got a GREAT recording of her heartbeat...she has been really active the past few days so I decided to try it...and she must have been really close to the front because it came in loud and clear (and you could even hear my deeper, slower beat in the background...). I think she knows I'm up to something though because she was constantly kicking and poking at my phone (rather hard I might add!) when I'm holding it to my belly LOL
Re: Do you have a doppler?
I also have the sonoline b, I got it off e-bay from a medical supply place for about $50-60, shipping was free, and I got it in like 3 days. Love it!
