So frustrated!

So I wrote a post a while ago about how it had been over a week and I still hadn't recieved any word about my combined screening blood work results. Well...that was a week ago and STILL nothing! I had to go to an outside hospital to get the u/s and blood drawn, so that office needs to send the results over to my dr's office. Yep, nothing.

I called my dr's office this morning and spoke with my drs nurse and she said she would "look at my file and see what was in there" and that was at 11am. No phone call back. I'm going to call them back after work and try again. Then I guess my next step is calling the hospital where I got it done.

Sigh...I'm just so frustrated! And now I'm worried that something is wrong and that's why I haven't heard back yet. I was told they'd be back in a week, now its been two and a half weeks. Not cool.

Re: So frustrated!

  • I would be super upset!  But I bet nothing is wrong and that's why they are taking their sweet precious time getting the results to you.

  • I would be frustrated too. However, usually no news is good news in the medical world. Whenever test results come back with an issue they make it a priority to contact you.

  • Yeah, I suppose you ladies are right. Thanks. :) I just had a vision of something being wrong and then its sent for further testing and thats why its taking forever. But I'm sure its probably good news that they aren't concerned with getting back to me. I'm still mad though!

  • Yeah, usually if you hear nothing after any kind of testing/scan, it means everything's clear. Trust me; if something came back abnormal, they'd have your a$$ back in the hospital/office quicker than you could fart. Cool

I would be pretty mad. Are there any other OBs that you would want to switch too?

No, not really. I love the actual OB I'm seeing and I love most of the office staff there, but yeah the whole system of the way they handle things is not working apparently. Although, I'm wondering if its not mostly the hospitals fault, although either way my OB office should be on top of it. But I'm definitely going to talk to my OB about this at my appt on Monday!
