My husband and i both love the name "Jackson" for our little boy but im not too fond of the traditional spelling. I thought i would get an idea of what everyone else's opinions were, and see if there were any other suggestions on the spelling.
Thanks!

Re: Spelling for the name "Jackson"?
Ug, so over Jackson.
But if you use it, PLEASE spell it correctly.

For real.
Spelling should not even be an issue with this damn dead horse of a name.

Sorry, I agree with this. It's not the worst name out there, but it's getting sooo over used.
HAHAHAHAHA, please. Use this spelling. Please. LMFAO.

This. Jaxon or any variation just doesn't look right.

This!
I'm over the name in general, but the ONLY acceptable spelling is Jackson. Jaxon is just stupid, honestly. Jackson is a perfectly fine name (though horribly over-used right now), and if you like the NN Jax, you can still use it with Jackson. Jaxson would literally be pronounced Jax-son, so the S is redundant. It's even more ridiculous than Jaxson.
If you want a creative name, use one that's not in the top 20.
EDIT: clarity

I agree. If you're going to use the name, use the traditional spelling. The "Jaxson" spelling is the worst.
Ooooh, preeeeeeeeeeeeeetty!

This.
My son's name is Jackson, and I am a teacher, so I come into contact with a lot of kids and a lot of names. I always chuckle when people talk about how overused it is.
The popularity is SO regional. I know one person who's grandson is named Jackson, and one teenager named Jackson, and that's it.
Just to give you an idea of what I am talking about... It was the 54th most popular name in NJ, where I live, in 2009, when he was born.
Even if you plan on calling him Jax, name him Jackson.
The other spellings are trashy. There are people out there who disagree, but you're not going to find them on this board.
Novas mom-
I was in the exact same boat you are in now. I loved the name but I hated the spelling Jackson. We ended up going with Jaxson and you would not believe how many people comment on the spelling of his name and how much they like it. Hope this helps! Good luck & great name selection!
