I registered for a Hotsling on Amazon but saw a lot of you were getting a Moby Wrap. Is one better than the other? I just liked the cute prints for the Hotsling better, that's all.
I've heard the Moby is more versatile, more comfortable, and easier to use with a newborn. I plan to have both though (well, not a hotsling but a pouch style carrier).
i honestly don't think there's a huge difference. my birthing instructor brought her moby wrap to class last night and it is similar in style to a hotsling (both can be worn in different positions to adapt to a growing baby/toddler & both come with an informative DVD). I bought a hotsling b/c i like the fabric choices more. However, i would say one advantage of the moby wrap is it has this extra fabric thing that can be thrown over your shoulder for nursing in public. The hotsling says you can breastfeed with it, but there is no shoulder fabric coverup.
Mom to 2 beautiful girls, 3 yrs and 22 months old. My 2nd was born at 32 weeks due to Rhogam failure/severe complications from Rh disease and is our miracle. She has bilateral auditory neuropathy and a cochlear implant, activated 4/5/2012 at 19 months.
I'm thinking I might try both. I have a hotsling now but I've heard they can hurt your back. But I've also heard that moby's are hard to get the hang of...
I actually opted for a ring sling (the Ella Roo) b/c it's more versatile than a Hotsling and doesn't take as long to put on as a wrap. I've never had problems w/ it slipping, and I used it until my ds was at least 25 lb. Is there any way that you can try out each of them?
