severe pains at 17 weeks

Hi,

  I am 17 weeks pregnant and I am having severe pains on each side in my pelvic area. The pains gets worse when I move and especially intense after I urinate.  The only time it isn't bad is when I am laying down. But even then, if I move from one side to the other, the pain is there. Has anyone else had this or know if it more than ligament pains?

Sounds like more than ligament pains. I've not experienced the type of pain you are describing but I'd say if it gets much worse you should call your doctor.
