When can you give this to lo's?
The boys are great with puffs and cheerios so I'm thinking I can start to give more finger foods. Any ideas what else I can give a try?
We waited until 11 months to do eggs (pedi said we could give yolks at 9 mo but didn't want to bother separating). Earlier we did cut up cheese sticks, dry toast bits, and soft cooked fruits and vegetables (zucchini, broccoli, apples, etc). For more slippery stuff you can try cheerio dust.
Hmm good question.. I just gave them a little bit of my scrambled eggs from my mcdonalds breakfast this morning (are they even real?). Now orangesmoke's got me all scared!

My whole fam makes fun of me for eating at McD's... I wondered this too about the eggs....
TTC for 12 years. m/c 2009.
BFP on New Year's 2010.

Same for us too. I was too lazy to separate the eggs, so we held off until 11 months. And now we hardly ever do them. They have a love/hate relationship with eggs--sometimes they gobble them up, other times they literally won't touch them with their fingers.
We were never told to delay eggs. But, we also don't have any food allergies in our families. We started scrambled eggs around 9 mos, and they loved it! I sprinkle in some shredded cheese, as well, while cooking. Some other things to try that ours loved: diced canned fruits (peaches, pears were big hits), diced canned veggies (green peas, green beans, carrots). Once they could chew a little better, I added some bread-y type things like frozen waffles, cinnamon raisin toast, mac & cheese, ravioli, tortellini - all pinched off or cut up. Oh, and their all time fave is cheese! This was one of their first finger foods. We buy cheese sticks & small snack sized bars at Sam's in bulk. I pinch off bites for them, and they gobble it up!
TTC #1 since 6/07, Dx = Ovulatory dysfunction, DOR, and autoimmune issues ~

Lost Baby C at 8w5d
Emergency Cerclage at 22wks saved our babies lives
my ped suggested after the boys have had eggs cooked in other things (pancakes, etc) then we could move on to scrambled eggs - so probably a little before a year old?

Re: Scrambled eggs
We did around 9 months... first the yolks, then both.
Alex turned out to be pretty allergic to eggs, Harry loved it. So I would say try it but watch them like a hawk.
4 Fresh IVF cycles + 1 FET where embies didn't survive the thaw = 2 perfect little men!
sFET 11/9/11 - Beta 11/18 BFP!

We were told yokes at 9 months and the whole egg at a year. They still don't like egg whites at all. I do yokes, cheese, and spinach. Good stuff.
