Help! Exercise ideas needed. I want to get outside again too

I need some ideas on how to exercise when I have almost a 1 month old and two small to medium sized dogs. Of course in home exercises are an option but I really would like to get outside. (for my sanity plus) My dogs have always been super active. I work with dogs so they were always at work with me, out exercising with me or at a dog park. Now that im on maternity leave and my husband works 12 + hours a day I am having trouble coming up with a good way to even take them out to potty (we live in an apartment so no yard). I feel so bad for them and want to get out with them again if possible.I had a hard pregnancy that caused some extra weight gain and I need to get back to exercising, and will probally have to start off slow again. I love my moby wrap so I can use that some. I have never been a good distance runner but I really want to get back into shape. I know jogging strollers are only good once your LO is 6 mo though. Any ideas on how to get my butt back into shape?

  • Go for a walk!
  • See if there is a frisbee golf course (aka disc golf) near you, and if so, if it is one that allows dogs on the course. Our local park has a huge course and while the course doesn't follow the pavement, the grass is short enough that a stroller could get through. Tie your dogs leashes to the stroller and work your way around the course... I get a TON of exercise playing this since I suck at throwing a frisbee. Smile You don't have to buy all the different discs either; I have one mid-range disc that I use for the whole course.
