We have (finally) come to really love the Ergo. We
didn't find the infant insert comfortable or cool enough, so we never
used the Ergo until the past few weeks. DS and DH LOVE it (and I love
it, knowing that they have a good method of soothing/bonding/getting
stuff done lol ) I just bought the sucking/teething pads yesterday,
since LO is drooling and chewing on it all the time.
DS is also
getting big & stong enough to be enjoying his exersaucer. He can
easily play very happily in it for an hour. My husband had the great
idea to sit it in front of a mirror in our living room, so DS plays for a
long time with all the toys while laughing at himself. (and to quote
my husband: "and if I turn him toward the mirror, he won't see the TV,
and I can still watch football and him at the same time!"
We also
have been enjoying all sorts of hand-held small toys. Everything goes
in DS's mouth, so he loves a fuzzy lion rattle, a crinkle caterpillar,
and anything else he can hold in his hand and get into his mouth.
2. her Lovey blanket thing...i started giving it to her to hold onto when it was time to sleep, and now if she's fighting sleep, as soon as i give it to her, she shoves it to her face and falls right to sleep lol
3. Nuk pacifiers...im serious, somedays i just don't know what i would do if she didn't take a pacifier lol
and an extra one...Trader Joe's canned cafe lattes, only i wish they were bigger
-FP Rainforest Jumperoo - she jumps like craaazy in this for a good 20 mins and wears herself out.
-Uppababy stroller (specifically the toddler seat) - I recently started using the toddler seat for our walks rather than the bassinet and she LOVES propping her legs on the bumper bar and watching everything we pass. We can easily walk for an hour and she's totally entertained
-Lion rattle - I have no idea what it's technically called, but I use links or a toy tether to attach this to her car seat or stroller. It's a taggie lion head teether - the "mane" is made of a mirror, crinkly tags, different textured tags, and it rattles. It's ALWAYS in her mouth and keeps her busy for a long time.
I just bought a terry-clothed bath duckie toy and the A+A issie security blankets (she uses the full size A+A swaddles right now for same purpose, so I'm just economizing the size) and expect to get quite a bit of use out of both items.
1. Her bug toy. I have no idea what brand it is because it was on my diaper cake. The body is soft snd the "feet" are rings C can hold on to. I actually just had someone comment on FB that it seems like its in most pictures of C.
2. The playmat. She likes to roll around and it keeps her semi-contained while doing so.
3. The Little Einstein jumperoo. It can keep her entertained for 30 minutes or so. She hasn't figured out how to jump or turn more than about 90*, so I can see even longer play stretches once she can.
4. My pocket diapers (FB and BG 4.0s). I packed all the prefolds away because C was just too wiggly to get them on her anymore. I'm loving the pocket diapers.

Ergo - still using it a lot. He likes it and often falls asleep if we're out, which is nice.
Jumperoo - he doesn't jump, but he does play with the toys and will entertain himself for a few minutes. We packed up the swing when this came out - he was never a big swing man.
Teething toys - picked up a couple at BRU, one is sort of soother shaped and the other is a set of keys. He likes to chew stuff.
Kawaii diapers - pocket diapers have been working well for us, and these were very inexpensive.
Rainforest jumperoo-he jumps and laughs and then naps!
Oball and winkel-light, easy to grab and he loves to lick and chew them
A and A blankets, the more expensive ones. He knows the difference and if you give him one he'll cuddle with it. It keeps him happy in the car too.

O-ball, love bug stuffed toy with plastic chewing feet, activity mat, soothie pacis and thick cloth diapers used as burp rags (we got through a LOT of these a day)

5. Mamma's Milk Sling - FINALLY he likes to be "worn" - he has strongly preferred his car seat but just this week has been wide awake and wants to be held whenever we go shopping or are out and about. He hates Baby Bjorn, Ergo, everything - this is the only one he will tolerate.
Lovey blanket (one side minky fabric, the other satin)
Gumdrop pacis- she just recently started taking one, occasionally.
Halo sleepsacks in velboa and fleece- she loves to be warm and toasty and these have been great after we ditched the swaddle.
Baby Bjorn
Playmat, exersaucer, bumbo- we rotate through these, although she is happiest when left to do her own thing on the floor, ie roll all around and grab at toys, look at herself in the mirror, etc.
My DS- she has been watching, smiling and laughing at him so much lately! He really entertains her and vice versa- so cute!

We are living in a temporary apartment so we don't have any big baby gear with us (just his activity mat and PNP) so we haven't used a lot of stuff this month.
He loves this toy:
He likes to chew on the beak, it's so cute because it looks like he is kissing it.
He's started to have a bit of eczema, this stuff has worked really well for keeping his skin moist:
I can't wait to go home so that I can get him a jumperoo or exersaucer, he loves when you hold him up and he can jump up and down so I think he is definitely ready for it. We are looking at buying this one:
Avalon Organics Baby tear-free shampoo/soap- Hard to believe, but it makes his baby-soft skin even more touchable. And he apparently seems to like the taste. How do I know this? He puts his hands in his mouth right after I soap them up EVERY TIME!!!
Breathable bumpers- we tried bumper free. We are now sold on the merits of these.
Smaller cotton bibs- he is so drooly now and the Carters ones annoy me because they are so stiff and get in the way because of their size.
Space saver high chair- I let him smell everything when I'm cooking.
Board books- he wants to stare at the pics of any one I can get my hands on.
Re: Your fave products/items for the past month
1. Sophie - LO just got into her. He can now grab her and she kept him quiet for a whole car ride yesterday (7 minutes, but still)
2. Baby Einstein ocean playmat - this will now keep LO busy for 30 minutes at a time - ahhh independant play!
3. Baby Einstein Baby Neptune Ocean Orchestra Musical Turtle - LO likes the bright lights and music. He can hit the buttons and change the song.
Good idea!
