I need to whine for a second

Last night the ac was acting funny. The apt wouldn't cool down. We thought that the filter needed to be changed, so DH went to the store and got a new one. That helped for a little while, but it started to get hot again. It's been 85 degrees in this place since 12 last night and I'm dying lol. I have a fan blowing on me and I'm still sweating in places I didn't know you could sweat. I've been up since 3 because I just couldn't sleep, and I've taken 2 cold baths just to cool off. It feels amazing outside and I can't open the door or windows because the dumpster at chinese place across the street smells so bad the entire apartment will begin to smell. I got dressed thinking I'd go hang around Walmart or Target until the mall opened, but DH accidentally took both sets of keys this morning. He's called the apartment office and the emergency line no one is answering. I'm miserable and just needed to whine.

Ugh, that sucks....I'd make DH come home, and bring me a set of keys.

Oh crappity. Put some ice packs in your undies!!

Does your apartment have a "guest apartment". When my AC went out in the middle of a FL summer, I found out the next day that I could have stayed in the guest apt. Yay, that's helpful after I laid on the floor with wet towels on my all night LOL

I wish he could but he can't. He's on a barge today and can't leave till 5:30 when the ferry goes to pick them up. I've already called him and yelled at him for taking my keys though. I feel a little better since I've done that.
