Trying to Get Pregnant

WTF - Chart Stalk Please?

Morning Ladies,

My temps are way high for pre-O.  My temps will rarely go above my 'typical' coverline of ~ 97.2 or 97.3 before I O, but this cycle they have been VERY high.

I have always been able to catch my LH surge using OPKs and they have all been negative this cycle thus far.

Does anyone ever have temps repeatedly higher than their average coverline before they O?  It just doesn't make sense to me...

Any ideas and help would be great!  TIA!

ETA: My first few charts do have temps above, but that is due to not temping consistently.  Now that I temp at 5am each day, they don't tend to 'jump'.

  • Looks like you are just taking longer than normal to ovulate.  Your March chart has about 9 temps above the coverline prior to O, so it doesn't seem too out of the ordinary.

Well, the thyroid thing has been a fiasco - through all the referrals, my last set of tests came out normal, but they think over time I will develop hypothyroidism and more than likely have Hashimoto's Disease in the onset stages.

All in all, meaning there is nothing to treat at the moment - so, I'm not currently on any medication just on a monthly TSH b/w review for the next 6 months.  Thanks for the thought though.

I think you are right - I don't why else my temps would go so high at this point in my cycle.

As far as the first few cycles - I used to be bad about temping at the same time of day so it would only be higher if I took it later in the morning.  Now that I have been more consistent, I have seen less temps above the coverline pre-O.

I'm sorry to hear that, it must be frustrating not getting a definitive answer.  I agree with bartsgirl then.  Some cycles, my pre-o temps are higher than normal and it's just random.  I wouldn't be concerned, you're probably just ovulating later than normal.
